Therapy for Creative Professionals

Creative professionals are a broad group of careers where people are seeking income from their art. The types of careers among this group are ever changing but some examples are: actors, musicians, performers, entertainers, writers, designers, artists, comedians, dancers, producers, photographers, creators, editors and directors of all kinds. My passion for working with this group comes from my own experience in the arts.

Specializing as a therapist for artists, entertainers, and creatives means that I am particularly in tune to the concerns and needs of this group. Some of the specific concerns that come up with creative professionals are ones of creative blocks, self-esteem, anxiety, depression, ADHD, stage fright, industry stressors, perfectionism, body image, relationship issues, and career transitions. Most important to acknowledge is that being an artist is not just a career, it is who you are. I bring this personal understanding with me into the room, and it deeply changes the type of therapy possible.

“I understand, because I have been through it too.”
